SIAM IMR22: Research Abstracts and Research Notes

The SIAM International Meshing Roundtable Workshop 2022 solicits research abstracts and research notes that will be presented at various sessions throughout the conference. Research abstracts and notes describe new ideas, exploratory research, preliminary results, corrections or updates to previously published research in the field of meshing.

Research notes are short papers not exceeding four pages, while research abstracts are a single paragraph. In both cases, the authors should use the same publication templates as full papers.

Research abstracts and research notes details

The SIAM IMR committee will review research abstracts and research notes upon submission. Accepted submissions will be published on the IMR website. Talks will be presented at the conference, and each submission will be given a 10-minute slot for presentation followed by 5 minutes for Q&A. The SIAM IMR committee will award a prize for the best presentation of a research abstract or research note.

For accepted research abstracts and research notes, at least one author must register for the IMR. Participants may be an author of both full papers and research notes. However, each paid IMR registrant will be limited to one presentation (paper or research note). There is no limit to the number of papers and research abstracts an author can submit. All authors and presenters are encouraged to also submit posters and/or meshing contestentries.

Research notes considered to be of exceptional interest will be offered the opportunity to develop and submit a full-length paper to the IMR special issue of the CAD journal, or to submit a Technical Note to the Special Issue.
